A gas furnace and a heat pump need different seasonal checks. Tell us which equipment serves your home, how many systems you have and whether anything has changed since the last heating season.
For a gas furnace, the fall visit includes accessible burner and ignition checks, flame sensor care, a visual review of accessible heat exchanger surfaces and venting, and operating checks. Heat pump care includes heating operation and defrost controls, along with the relevant electrical and moving components.
The Herd Club includes spring and fall maintenance for covered residential equipment. You can also review the current one time fall cleaning special if you want a visit without a membership. A system that is already malfunctioning needs a diagnostic appointment.
